The digestive tract can be re-colonised by introducing good bacteria to over come the bad bacteria that it naturally colonises in a acid environment. But until then I would like to talk about how easy it is to provide and nourish your gut with high potency, non expensive good bacteria rich food. All in the name of fermentation!

Live fermentation foods contain live active cultures of normal flora that re-populate your digestive tract and aid in digestion. Kefir contain more organisms than yogurt and the normal flora in kefir is made of very strong strains of micro organisms unlike most yogurts. kefir grains are very easy to obtain.
And easier again is fermenting and culturing everyday foods, in this course I will be covering everyday ideas and recipes on how to ferment and culture foods, inexpensively and tasty living raw live enzymes growing in glass jars with healthy probiotic cultures for the whole family in kefir drinks, coconut yogurts, Sauerkraut , picked cucumbers and turmeric Kombucha

There is no need to pay for high cost probiotics that contain fewer strains of good bacteria unless you can not support yourself and your family with fresh live cultured fermented foods or have been sick for a very long time with compromised digestion and unable to take fermented foods or drinks or are in a position of them not being accessible ie traveling in remote locations.

Anji’s Quick Sauerkraut Recipe
•purple cabbage, cored and cut into small wedges
•4 carrots
•1 beetroot
•3 tablespoons sea salt, plus more as needed
Using a food processor fitted with a grating disk and working in batches, finely shred the cabbage, carrot and beetroot. Place in a large ceramic bowl, sprinkling some of the measured salt on the cabbage between batches. When all of the cabbage is shredded, add any remaining salt and toss and squeeze and you can belt with a wooden spoon to start the brine so that the mixture combines thoroughly
Pack the cabbage, carrot and beetroot and any juices it has released into a ceramic bowl a little at a time, pressing the cabbage down firmly with your fist as you go. Once all in the bowl, firmly turn with your fists, squeezing and releasing juices for 10 mins. Add more salt if needed
Once starting to create brine, pack very tightly into jars. Secure tight fitting lids with 1.5cm space from top.
You can start to eat once the sauerkraut has started to ferment which in Queensland is 2 days outside the refrigerator and 6 days in the refrigerator. The sauerkraut you have just made will last up to 3 months refrigerated and submerged in brine as long as you use a clean spoon every time you access the sauerkraut from the jar and place back in the fridge promptly.

Clay has it day for gentle detoxing

Winter is a time when we naturally want to hunker down, hibernate and keep warm; often it is accompanied by over eating and stagnation. We generally don’t feel like undergoing cleanses, flushes or detoxification, as this requires extra energy and often leaves us feeling drained and cold. Rather than undergoing a full on detox protocol there are ways we can still detoxify that wont burden and drain the body, with no fasting or change of diet required. One very effective way to do this is with external clay packing.

Clay therapy has been used by many different cultures around the world for thousands of years. The term historically used for mud therapies is called Pelotherapy. By applying clay preparations to the external body toxins are absorbed into the clay itself. Toxins are also released internally into the GI tract and taken out of the body. Clay is mineral rich so also provides replenishment of minerals transdermally. Periodic detoxification is necessary to maintain ideal cell homeostasis and resonance.

There are many different types of clay. PRL uses a combination of volcanic clay, calcium bentonite and peat magma all of which are quality ingredients and non toxic. They combine clay with sea vegetables and other detoxifying and nutrient rich herbs to produce a balanced formula for detoxification and rejuvenation.

When to use Medi-Body Pack:

Dance daily to that inward inspiration…

*Everything is so much bigger than us* so start dancing, begin a quest! There are books you haven’t written, dances you haven’t danced, songs you haven’t sung.  When you are quiet, you know that you may want to dance again.

When you start dancing again, you begin to identify more deeply with what is you, want you want to be associated with. You want to create more time to reconnect to what makes your soul sings. Make small steps to hear the music that makes you want to dance.

Dancing can..well lets talk health because that’s what we’ve got..make your your heart and lungs dance, make you strong and fit and sneakily creating endurance and aerobic fitness, make you feel better and functional mentally better as you get in touch with the person who is dancing inside.

Make a dance movement each day when you are listening to the inward stillness that wants to dance. Capture that expression of movement in the body, intuitively. Don’t let a day passes that you haven’t listened and danced.

Not only does dancing bring us to our bodies which is where we all prefer to be, it also helps our circulation and blood to move freely, increasing oxygen and thus reducing pain. Dancing daily has been proven to offset dementia, increase vision range and dispel insecurities as we get older. Everyone loves to dance, even if it is a small expression of self.
